Artistic Statement

Photography has changed a great deal in every facet since I presented my first website and blog – not just in terms of technological advancement of equipment and software but also the artistic and creative aspects. The line between photography and digital art is blurred, perhaps it no longer exists. I see this is a natural progression of the art and my own work has evolved with the times. How do I reconcile this with my roots as having been something of a purist? I still want my images to reflect my experience when making the photo. You won’t see sky replacements or added elements from different shooting sessions, vastly altered colours or perspectives significantly warped beyond reality. Perhaps my approach is best summed up as ‘enhanced reality.’
