Paris: Black and White
Street Photography From the City of Light and Love

Heels
A fashionable cafe, a pair of shapely legs in high heels : two elements which seem to sum up the important things in Parisian life

Foggy-Pont-des-Arts
Funny how when in rains in London, things are gloomy but in Paris, it's something else...

Sliding Doors
I had this shot in mind from my favourite street in Bastille for a while but it all came together after several visits.

The Distinguished Gentleman
This fellow was as surprised as I was when he stepped through the door and had a camera pointing at him; we shares a laugh afterwards

Cafe de Flore
Surely Paris' most photographed cafe here's a scene where everybody seems to be up to something

A Ladder
I found humour in this scene which juxtaposes the romanticised Montmartre with the mundane day to day

Passarelle Solferino
The new passerelle de Solférino linking the Musée d'Orsay and the Jardin des Tuileries was built between 1997 and 1999

Just Another Morning in Paris
It's difficult making any inroads into peeling back the superficial layers to reveal the real Paris. The problem is that this outer layer is so dazzling, so seductive, that most visitors spend all their time focusing on its beautiful shell.
However for the locals and frequent visitors like myself, the beauty of Paris recedes into the background, a magnificent stage for the players in their everyday lives
